"Quiet & comfy - recommended"

Staying at MAS Blackwater Central Motel tonight. It's a nice quiet motel on the main drag (Railway St) but double glazing keeps the noise down. Room is nice with mandatory air conditioning plus a ceiling fan which is great for keeping air circulating without the chill of a/c. Comfortable bed, spacious room with a kitchenette plus a spacious bathroom: nothing to look at so the curtains remain closed!
It's a long 400km/4 ½ hour drive from North Mackay to Emerald to see 2 customers then another 250km/3hours from Emerald to Rockhampton, so a restful stay at Blackwater works just fine!
There's nothing much exciting on a drive through Blackwater but mines, miners and high-vis is the uniform.
Recommended.

"Great place to stay"

We stayed at the MAS Blackwater Central Motel for $140. Great customer service from Julie, comfy bed, clean room, and a continental breakfast of cereal/yoghurt/toast included. There’s also a small kitchenette which was really helpful; we put bottles of water in the freezer to take to the tablelands with us and kept our picnic food in the fridge overnight. Go to my profile and head to my website to see more on what to do in Blackwater.

"Overnight in Blackwater"

I usually stay in the same hotels on a few different occasions to get a good gauge on the available accommodations. This was my 3rd visit and each time I have been supplied with a well appointed and clean room. Friendly staff at the reception and good choice of meals, which I believe are supplied by the local pub. Hotel is based on the main highway but rooms are back from the main road. Very comfortable accommodation for a night or two.

"Passing Through Great Spot."

We rang around at the last minute to get a room as time was getting on, and we are glad we did. We weren’t expecting a lot being a mining town. This place had a room that was clean and tidy, we were pleasantly surprised. Great service at reception too. We travel a lot up and down from the NT to the coast and will look at stopping here more often.

"Nice escape from the hustle outside!!"

Blackwater is full of 24/7 workers and mining camps but this motel is clean and well equipped to cater for the influx of tradesmen and govenment instituation whilst on duty in and or around this town. Goos size rooms, kitchenette and easy parking are all great.

"Wonderful experience!!"

Friendly, personal service, very welcoming and professional. We received an email before our stay offering to help in any way and a thank you email when we arrived home! Had a late check out at no extra cost. Very clean and comfortable. We were in Blackwater for a party and friends stayed at other Motels. They were jealous of our room considering services offered, amenities and price. Addition of the ice machine to top up our esky was also a great extra! 10/10.

"Excellent"

Can't speak highly enough of the welcoming and professional folk at the Blackwater Central. Julie, in particular, made my business stay of 4 days a hastle free and enjoyable time - and the room was clean, modern with fast and reliable free wi-fi. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic option to stay in Blackwater"

I was headed into Blackwater for work. Running late I didn't arrive until an hour after reception closed. Called the number with my fingers crossed. Julie had it all sorted. Room was ready with door unlocked, key inside.
The rooms are much larger than you'd expect, especially for the price. Kitchenette with full size fridge, table and chairs, two lounge chairs and coffee table plus the bed. Bathroom is large and everything is provided (even shaving gel) from the wall mounted dispensers.
There was also a pleasant surprise in the room, a pack of weetbix, milk, bread, vegemite and a yogurt which took care of my breakfast at 5am the next morning.
Overall a wonderful place to stay!

"Great Stay"

Room was spacious and immaculately cleaned. Check-in was a breeze and super quick. Was given the option of a late check out at no extra charge. Very friendly service. Could here the trains but didn't keep me awake and I am a light sleeper. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

"Very good"

Stayed 4 nights for work. Julie (manager) was friendly and all requests (extra milk, late checkout) were accommodated without a hassle. Room service was great and well priced. Would stay here again anytime.

"Good Option in Blackwater"

Don't let its location (on the highway) fool you - the spacious rooms are pretty soundproof, so you won't get disturbed by the trains or trucks rolling past. A very comfortable bed and a very clean room await you on arrival and the staff I encountered were all very friendly. I opted for room service at meal time and my meal was beautifully cooked. All in all, this motel is recommended.

"Best in Blackwater"

During a period of FIFO out of Blackwater (3yrs) I stayed at a number of establishments in the Blackwater township. When I approached this motel (newly built) I was impressed with the friendly staff & the home like facilities offered. Due to a long term contract the proprietors had me in one of the back rooms which being a light sleeper I had very comfortable sleeps. Double glazing did assist this. Rooms were very spacious & cleaned to a high standard. Price for the rooms & meals was one of the main contributors to changing motels but was more than happy with the benefits. If every get back to Oz this place will be on my bucket list to stay at.
